WINcoming / Romantica 2024 has Arrived!

Through the creative prowess of chief designer Sally Waddington and business acumen of son, James, the talented Waddington family, Romantica of Devon has been creating stunning bridal gowns for 40 years. We got an exclusive preview of the 2024 Romantica Collection ahead of Harrogate.

Romantica has been a family-owned and run business since its inception and is based in the heart of Devon. As James Waddington himself says: “Romantica is a UK brand and as such is closely linked to the UK market. My dad supplied many of my customers (and their parents!) with dresses over the last 30 years and maybe my son will still be selling to my customers in another 30!”

James goes on to say that: “Quality and value are at the heart of everything we do. Relationships are key in any business and any label's success is only cemented over many years with great customer service, both with our long-established boutiques and the new. As a family business, we feel we have the customers' interests at heart. We love working together as a family and we hope our commitment and loyalty is obvious to every shop we deal with.”

Label lineup

With five great existing labels – Romantica, Jennifer Wren, Olivia Rose, Pure Bridal and Silhouette and Martin Thornburg, Sophia Tolli and Mon Cheri joining the line-up, each offering a different take on the bridal look, you can rely on Romantica of Devon to come up with the goods, time after time, because they do!

And what about the 2024 collection?

Shot in the south of France in the middle of summer this year, the new collection builds on all the Romantic classics as well as featuring many of the trends that we are seeing on catwalks and the high street… Bold 3D floral laces, blush tones and just the right amount of sparkle. Exposed corsetry is also a firm feature. “Wearable gowns which allow our brides to show off their personality is the name of the game,” says James. “The Romantica belief of fashion-led gowns at competitive prices ties the collections together. We want brides to feel as glamorous and as special as possible on their big day and that desire is at the heart of what we do.”
