The Trends / New York Bridal Fashion Week

Of course, in the UK we have Harrogate, and there’s also Barcelona and Milan, but the biggest and best of all bridal weeks (which are never actual weeks, bizarrely!), in our opinion, is New York.

From sexy and sleek, sensational gowns by Berta, Watters and Milla Nova, to the crème de la crème of the Brit pack – Kate Halfpenny and Sassi Holford, for example, to beautiful ball gowns by Amsale, fabulous floral prints by Claire Pettibone and Justin Alexander Signature’s 3D Florals, it was a Bridal Market full of decadence, glamour and sophistication.

Kate Halfpenny showed off her Balance Chapter Two collection at Melange Blanc

For many years we, too, headed to New York (I know, poor us!) and found the fun on the pumpkin-strewn streets of magnificent Manhattan – the Americans love an autumn window display, combined with Halloween. This year we had too much on back home, but we still managed to keep our ear to the ground and find you the most fabulously fashionable elements of this epic exhibition.

The show has now drawn to a close, but here are some of our best picks from the Fall New York Bridal Fashion Week…

Beautiful out-sized details from top designer Peter Langner

Rime Arodaky

“After five years of overcoming the challenges of the Pandemic, we are back in the city that never sleeps! I'm overjoyed to unveil 'Astral' and illuminate the Manhattan runway again - a collection where the cosmos and stars intertwine with bridal dreams. Swipe to embark on this celestial journey with us."

Israeli designer Zwillinger has such a beautiful way with bridal fashion. Her creations are sophisticated and stylish, and somehow brilliantly wearable. Her attention to detail is amazing and guess what there is a lot of? Yes, floral!
