It could be the new combined RBA and Bridal Buyer Awards or the fact that I haven't entered any of the categories this year, allowing me to actually relax and enjoy the evening, or the fact that I’ll get to catch up with all my bridal buddies? Whatever the reason, one thing’s for certain: my careful preparation—determining what to buy, how much to spend, and what works for Bellissima—will help me make smart decisions, amongst the excitement of the event.

I’ve always liked a good spreadsheet, but I am guilty as charged for holding on to dresses for years, either because they were once good sellers, or because I could see we’d had 40+ repeats on that style. What I hadn't done was pay attention to the last time I’d taken a repeat on it. Likewise, the style I’ve had over a year collecting dust might now be having a moment, so if similar styles are now also 'waking up', then that's a trending style to take notice of.

Since streamlining my collection and tracking trends for each style, my sales have increased—proof that focused stock decisions make a big difference.
