Madi Lane's Inclusivity Commitment Pays off!
For the first time, Madi Lane Bridal Group showcased their four bridal collections in a variety of three sizes on the runway, at Bridal Week Harrogate with an incredible response from their audience!
Liz Young, Chief Creative Officer & Design Director, Madi Lane Bridal Group tells us why inclusivity is so important to her.
"At MLBG our commitment to inclusivity is not just a token effort. It sits in my mind's eye when designing gowns, flowing through to fabrication choices, patterning decisions, and customisable options. When we say that all our gowns are available in sizes 2 to 24, meaning that we have given each size expert attention to the scaling and support needed. As a global brand, we understand (and love) that women around the world are beautifully diverse. It has always been my passion and driving force to design fresh modern wedding dresses that are accessed by all brides without prejudice. I especially look at the way I can flatter shape with the use of textiles, seam lines, and lace placements to elongate the body in all the right ways."
Their inclusive commitment is threefold
1. Design inclusively
2. Manufacture inclusively
3. Sell inclusively
"This is why we showcased our collections in a variety of sizes, and for this first time our MLBG Harrogate runways showcased 3 sizes represented UK6, UK12, and UK20."
Their stunning collections of Australian-designed wedding gowns are released seasonally and reflect contemporary couture and global aesthetics. Balancing inclusivity and exclusivity, wedding dresses by Madi Lane Bridal Group are offered in sizes 2 to 28, with customisable options in fabrication, style and detachable features.
