Love the Label / Romantica 2023

Proudly British by design and a true family-run company (the family is called the Waddingtons, and James Waddington heads up the team), the latest Romantica of Devon wedding dress collections embody elegance, romance and a touch of much-admired theatre here and there! The great thing about Romantica of Devon is that, the foundations on which the business has been built over the 30+ years that it has been in operation, is that there is a dress for everyone. So whether it’s the whimsical, ethereal look or the contemporary princess style you’re after, Romantica of Devon have every box ticked, with their various collections and the range of styles within.

The Romantica of Devon group started out with Sally Waddington as the designer and factory manager, and her husband Mike as sales director. Thanks to their hard work and passion for the bridal industry, business grew and grew (from 20 machinists in small premises in the Devon countryside). Now, three more members of the family have joined the team and the company houses international brands but still the business’s values stay the same and they are still based deep in heart of beautiful Devon.

The team at Romantica of Devon believe that your bridal gown is so much more than just a dress – it’s a statement of style, personality and above all romance: “Each and every bride deserves to feel exquisitely beautiful on their wedding day and that is always our final goal – to provide a wedding dress that reflects you and your day perfectly.

With five great labels, each offering a different take on the bridal look, you can rely on Romantica of Devon to come up with the goods, time after time. Let's take a look at their beautiful bridal collections...

Whether you are after a stunning lace look or a something simpler in chiffon, the Romantica collection offers tradition with a twist. Classic and classy, glamour and romance. We really love dress Nala, giving an ever-so-popular off-the-shoulder glam, with a Hollywood starlet finish.

Jennifer Wren

It’s all in the detail! Jennifer Wren offers all the latest trends like sleeves, embellishment, sheer panels and tulle overlays, in a collection that screams romance and elegance. JW230318 is an elegant A-line tulle skirt, which is offset by a stunning illusion high neck and sleeves over a sweetheart bodice.

Olivia Rose

“To feel amazing on your special day!” Contemporary designs, offer modern chic like never before. Thigh splits, cap sleeves and deep Vs make this a collection to swoon over. Aster is a chic, modern crepe fit and flare gown with a thigh slit and V neck. We love its simplicity and details, like the buttons from hip to thigh.

Pure Bridal

Floaty, bohemian, elegant femininity are the hallmarks of the Pure collection, featuring whimsical, lightweight gowns that that are perfect for a boho bride or someone with a real sense of style. Style PB228 is our favourite in the collection with its cap sleeves, button through back and intricate floral overlay. The puddle train completes this ethereal look.

Celebrate your curves… Designs to fall in love with! Carefully created for brides with curves, this fabulous collection offers the sizes, support and sophistication to brides with a fuller figure with no compromise on style. Embracing the female form, each dress is carefully made with comfort and fashion at the fore, in equal measure. Alex-Mae is a gorgeous A-line dress with illusion sleeves and a V-neckline. Simply gorgeous!
