JLM Announces No More Orders
New York-based bridal house, JLM Couture has been working as diligently as possible to restructure its business this past year. Unfortunately, this goal has become more challenging due to various unresolvable circumstances. Therefore, JLM Couture has made the difficult but necessary decision to begin to wind down its operations.
JLM Couture cited that the primary reasons for this decision stem from a legal dispute with one of its former designers “Hayley Paige” Gutman, the effects of the pandemic, corresponding supply chain disruptions, and New York City real estate issues.
They advise...
Effective immediately, JLM is not accepting any new orders, nor will JLM be fulfilling any additional stock orders. Instead, we are focusing our efforts on shipping any completed orders and fulfil any open orders that are still in demand and which we have the materials on hand and the ability to complete.
We understand this news is disappointing, but this is a necessary decision as we can no longer continue to efficiently fund our current operations.
Orders that are "in work" will be prioritised by demand and on a first-come, first-served basis, using the materials we have on hand to complete. With respect to this, please contact CustomerService@jlmcinc.com with a list of the open orders you still wish to be fulfilled, as soon as possible, but no later than Monday, October 14th and we will do our best to fill those orders. We will notify you to confirm which orders we are able to complete and ship.
JLM takes pride in its history of being one of the bridal industry’s leading design houses for over 30 years. During this time, we gave many aspiring designers the opportunity to develop into luxury wedding gown brand names. Together with our retail partners, we have served hundreds of thousands of brides and made their wedding day something special. We truly appreciate your support and loyalty through the good times and the hard times, and we sincerely wish all our valued retail partners much success in the future.
If you currently have orders on hold, please contact the Accounts Receivable Department by emailing CustomerService@jlmcinc.com. For further information on JLM Couture, visit JLM Couture.
We are sad to see another leading label fall and wish everyone involved much success in the future.
