When three brilliant British bridal designers came together, a little magic happened. A celebration of British bridal beauty, shot at Sunrise at Saltburn Beach on the North East Coast.

Concept and Theory

When asked how this cool collaboration came about, Katy Britton says: “Kate Fearnley and I met while exhibiting in London at White Gallery, and have since formed a friendship built on the common ground of what we do. We decided to organise a shoot to celebrate the beauty of independent British designers and the benefits of buying from one. Independents can often provide a much more personal service, and in our case, a sustainable one. I think it’s important to fly the flag for homegrown talent, and taking part in a collaboration like this is a great way to unite us and show respect for each other's abilities. Hayley from Rolling In Roses was the perfect addition to the team, she prioritises sustainability, her designs are beautiful, and is not far from Kate.

Kate approached talented photographer Natalie Pluck, who she has worked with many times before. Natalie was keen, and between us, we felt that we could choose a location that highlighted the charm of England as a country. We chose Saltburn Beach as it is local to Kate and Natalie. The plan was to shoot at sunrise as the light would be perfect and the beach would be quiet. The three of us are like-minded in many ways and wanted a fairly natural mood for the shoot and the models. We wanted the dresses to stand out in their own right, so we didn’t accessorise and kept hair and make-up to a minimum. The models; Sydney, Lily and Laura, we felt needed very little intervention as their contrasting hair tones were gorgeous enough to distinguish between designers. So after a 3.30 am start, we made our way down to the very cold, cloudy beach!”

And THIS is the outcome... three individual designers, three stunning styles, and one incredible result.
